Join me this Friday in The Vondelpark. The past couple months I've been teaching at the Media College Amsterdam, and the students have created some fun interactive art pieces to be enjoyed during this media festival. It should be Pixel Perfect.

Next week I am attending the HKU Design for Virtual Theater and Games EXPO in Utrecht at the Huis aan de Werf. It will be a great show on June 18 and 19. Don't miss it!
For an example there are a couple free games to try out that some of my students made. Felisberto de Brito has made eggCademy and Ziggy Naumann has made Hotel Luma. Both are in the running for the Festival of Games 2009 award from the NLGD. Go and check them out if you can't handle the humpday this week. Enjoy!

When I was back in Amsterdam I gave a Video Blogging Masterclass at the Machouse to a group of young video blog enthusiats. The class was put together by the TF, Theater Festival for the Netherlands and Vlanderen and the Fringe Festival. This week they have an annual Theater Festival in Amsterdam and the students from the Masterclass are making all kinds of videos and posting them on the TF Vlog Site. I love seeing people start to Video Blog for the first time. The smiles and the joy of creation and worldwide publication is a real thrill when they do it. I really hope that they keep it up. In any case check out the site and the vlogs.

If you are into Theater and Video, this is going to be very cool. The TF (Theater Festival) organization is looking for students and creatives to Video Blog the Theater Festival in Amsterdam this September. As training I will be giving a 2 day workshop to at the Machouse in Amsterdam on the 21 and 22 of August to those that want to participate.
We will be going through everything from camera work, sound, live moblogging, review of various video sharing sites and more. It will be 2 days of non-stop Video Blogging tips, tricks and techniques. This is a short video of an acrobatics act that wrapped up the Theater Festival in Amsterdam. over 30 theaters were participating. There were more plays than you can throw a stick at. It's at the scale of the Edinburgh's festival, but that's where the organizers are headed. Amazing that they got no funding from I Amsterdam. This is the kind of festival that needs more attention from the city and from sponsors. For more information check the TF1 website.
